International Orders

MiMU is based in the UK and so orders delivered to other countries are international orders. These international orders will likely be subject to import taxes or duties. These are not included in the price of our products and must be paid by the customer. This page is intended to help you understand the process.

When will these taxes / duties be due?

The taxes / duties are normally charged shortly before delivery when the order reaches the customs at the border of your country. These charges are typically collected by the customs authority or the courier service before delivery. The product may be held at customs until these taxes are paid.

How much will I pay?

Import costs vary widely by country. Some may charge as little as 0% duty, while others may apply VAT/GST (e.g., 10–25%) and additional fees. A rough estimate for total import costs (including duties and taxes) is between 5% and 30% of the price of the product, but this can be higher in some countries. It depends on a few factors:

  • The customs taxes / duties set by the government of your country
  • The time of delivery: if you are ordering in a pre-order, please remember that the taxes / duties will be those set at the time of delivery

Can I get an estimate?

To get an estimate of how much it will be we can use a customs calculator. To do this you will need to know:

  • The amount you will pay for the product (you can see this in the 'Cart' on our site)
  • The countries involved: the product will ship from the UK to your country.
  • A Commodity Code or 'HS Code' for the type of product. We usually use the one below (however please note that some shipping companies only accept specific codes and we may have to use a different one, although it will be for a similar product category)

HS Code: 9207.90.0080

Now you can use a customs calculator to work out an estimate of what you will need to pay. We have suggested some below.

Please note that these are third party tools and we do not confirm that these or any other tool will produce an accurate estimate.

Do you remove the UK tax for international orders?

Yes, we remove the UK Value Added Tax (VAT) from the price of international orders.

Does MiMU receive anything from these taxes or duties?

No, these amounts are typically charged by and paid to the country in which the order arrives. MiMU receives no income from this process at all.
